“There are some people who don’t like the decision I made, and my response to them is, I don’t like the decision that I made.”- Wesley Bell
In October of 2020, one of Wesley Bell's assistant prosecutors filed a lawsuit claiming Bell had fired her and forced out five other female attorneys in favor of male employees and created a hostile work environment for female attorneys in his office.
An intern known only as “Jane" was hired in January 2019 shortly after Wesley Bell took office. As the office's only paid intern, she earned $18/hour, more than the hourly rate of 20 other regular employees, some of whom have worked there for years.
An analysis of Bell's expense records during his first nine months in office reveals his appetite for dining out and traveling on the taxpayer dime.
In 2006, Bell managed the campaign of Mark J. Byrne, a Republican candidate challenging Rep. Lacy Clay in Missouri's 1st Congressional District.
When he was a judge in Velda City, Bell ran an illegal bail system that preyed upon poor Black people and was sued by ArchCity Defenders.
Wesley Bell has already received $2.5 million from AIPAC and the Israel lobby. He was hand-picked by special interests to run against Rep. Cori Bush because she has the courage to call out Israel's genocide in Gaza.
Wesley Bell started the 2024 campaign season by announcing a run against Republican U.S. Senator Josh Hawley. After grifting thousands of dollars from Democratic donors, he bailed on his campaign and decided to launch a primary bid against anti-AIPAC Rep. Cori Bush after being courted by AIPAC and the Israel lobby.
